Limit acces time per dag on Mac adress

Hi All.

At my ship we have a verry limmited bandwith due to a satcom connection.

We use the astaro utm 9 server to get the internet to different Networks. And now we want to make a wifi accespoint we're our crew van connector for half a hour a day. And when they used there 30 minuts they have to wait for the next dat to connector again.

Does anyone know of this is possible with the astaro utm 9 sophos server? And how we need to configure that?

    Hi Roel,

    Are you using Sophos Access points? If Sophos AP are configured in the network then you can define Voucher definition on your requirement. Refer https://community.sophos.com/kb/de-de/120339 .

    Roel, if you have a Wireless Protection subscription and a separate wireless VLAN for your crew's wireless, then you can use Sachin's suggestion on the Interface defined for that VLAN.

    If you don't and you have fixed IPs for the crew's devices, then you can use a Bandwidth Pool on the crew's Interface where you limit by KB instead of time.

    We are going for the Voucher solution.

    One last question about the vouchers.
    Is it possible to reuse them? we have over 200 crew members, and if i have to give them all a new voucher each day, it's going to take al lot of time.
    i'm hoping i can make one voucher a person. And reset all the vouchers at midnight. so all crew members can use the same code for the entire trip.

    Do you know if this is possible? and if it is possible, how to do this?

    Hi, 

    The voucher definition renews itself the next day hence, you do not need to reset them manually.

    Hi,

    I just tested a single voucher.

    After i used up all the time, the "User Portal" tell's me the voucher is expired.
    i waited for 24 hour and it is still giving me expired, when i try to enter it at the inlog screen i get the "Validity expired!" message
    Can i reativate this voucher so i can use the same code? with a new 30 min?
    And is it possible to do this automatic?
    Other way i have to create a new voucher with a new code for the entire crew each day.
    And that's just to much work on a daily basis, for me and the crew.

    You can set the lifetime of the voucher when you create it.  I guess the limit might be 9999 days.

    Hi Bob,

    The lifetime of my vouchers is: 730 day's. zo i don't think that's the problem.
    It looks like when i used up the time, the voucher is not longer useable. and i would like to reuse it the following day.
    Otherwise i have to print out over 200 new vouchers each day.

    What you're saying doesn't comport with my experience.  Please show us pictures of your Voucher open in Edit and of the message you receive a day later when you try to use that voucher and are blocked.
