DNS Best Practices configuration question

DNS Best Practices question https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/120283

In a network where the Sophos UTM is the DNS server for the PC's (192.168.0.1) and the AD is controlled by a windows server (192.168.0.3) my question is how to setup the "Request Routing" tab? Below is a screen shot showing the reverse DNS pointed to the Sophos UTM 192.168.0.1 and the Domain rlp-1201.lcoal pointing to 192.168.0.3. PC names are not being populated in the web reports, I am only getting the PC IP addresses.

Any suggestions and comments would be greatly appreciated.

my apologies if this is a silly question, I'm a bit of a noob

  • I've stopped looking at that KB because it's not as updated as the one from which it was plagiarized.  Compare your setup to DNS best practice and don't forget to insert the picture you mentioned. [;)]

Since you have a WinServer, best practice for DHCP is to have it done by the Windows box instead of by the UTM.
