How To Unblock Websites and all links off of the website.

I have a doctors office that runs a UTM 220. They are really strict about internet usage and only allow specific websites to be accessed. They have web filtering on so that it blocks everything unless you allow the website.

My question is how can I unblock external links on a website.

So lets say I unblock doctor.com. The client goes to doctor.com and clicks on a link that redirects to another domain, dentist.com. Well now dentist.com has to be unblocked.

The given scenario is just a simplified version of the problem. Say a website has 100 redirect links on it. Is my only option to allow all those domains? Or is there a way, to allow a "parent" website.

Any advice appreciated.

  • Like Sachin said, there's no magical way to allow redirects to another domain/website.  The best solution is for them to take advantage of Categories.  You can go to TrustedSource - Check Single URL and sign up for a free account.  Then, you can load up to 100 URLs into a text file and upload it to see what categories you could allow instead of allowing only individual sites.
