Using subdomains instead of IPs and ports

I currently have a UTM setup and managing my network (DHCP, DNS, FW, IPS, etc.). One of the servers on the system has a number of web applications running on it on different ports. I can access them by typing the DNS name for the server followed by the corresponding port (myserver:8080, myserver:8081, etc).

Is it possible to replace that with subdomains so that instead I typing http://myserver:8080 or http://myserver:8081, I can type http://app1 or http://app2?

  • Yes that's possible. You will have to use Web Server Protection...

    Private Setup:

    • XG: HPE DL20 Gen9 (Core i3-7300, 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD) | XG 18.0 (Home License) with: Web Protection, Site-to-Site-VPN (IPSec, RED-Tunnel), Remote Access (SSL, HTML5)
    • UTM: 2 vCPUs, 2GB RAM, 50GB vHDD, 2 vNICs on vServer (KVM) | UTM 9.7 (Home License) with: Email Protection, Webserver Protection, RED-Tunnel (server)
  • Do you know how would I go about doing that? I've never used that feature before.
