Good day ,
Let's start by saying that I am no expert in Linux commands and kind of new to the UTM. This looks pretty alive and I might be able to get some help with my issue.
I plan on setting up my UTM in full transparent mode according to this article ( Link ). I've install the UTM from the CD detected all of my NIC (2). So I chose one interface to be be the WebAdmin port (Management) using IP 192.168.2.254. Since I need 3 cards to run Full Transparent mode , I installed 2 PCI cards ( DEC 21143 ) after the initial setup. The UTM sees them and appears as regular interfaces (eth2 and eth3) after the reboot. I hooked up a ethernet cable from one of the DEC 21143 card to the switch and gave it IP : 192.168.2.253. Rookie mistake here I did not ping the .253 before deleting the current management interface .254. Now I cannot connect to the UTM. So I poped in the installation CD (since no special configuration were done on this one). After the required system spec ran , they asked me to which interface I wanted my WebAdmin to be. Just to find out only one of the 2 interfaces connected to the same switch gave me a Link to the network. So my questions is can you only have one ethernet cable connected in the switch during the initial setup ? The UTM can see the cards but not able to get a IP ? I did not re-install the OS for now and looking for help. I am more concerned about the connectivity of the DEC 21143 cards. If they appear in the UTM that should mean they are supported ? They are not listed in the HCL9001 list but a really close model is.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
