Sophos UTM 9.4 update makes my J1900 mini pc reboot constantly

Hi all,

I had been running UTM as a VM for several years and moved to a fanless J1900-based mini pc about 6 months ago (I say this only to illustrate that I have been able to run this software for some time without issues). Everything was working great on 9.3, however a couple of days ago my UTM informed me that 9.4 was ready to install. After I ran the upgrade, the UTM will reboot unexpectedly at random intervals between 15 minutes and a couple of hours, but generally "rebooting unexpectedly" (as the emails I've been getting state) 30+ times per day.

I thought it may have just been an issue with the update like something getting corrupted, so I downloaded the 9.4 iso (software) from Sophos and reinstalled with my latest backup (which I did just before the update). This resulted in the exact same problem. Twice. I then downloaded the latest 9.3 (I believe it was 9.355) and everything was back up and running without issue for a couple days. I then updated to 9.4 again, and again had the same problem. I'm now back on 9.355, but I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has this problem. I'm a home user, and therefore don't have Sophos support. I'm not sure how or even if I can report this bug/problem to them. Any ideas on that front as well?

    Numerous people have reported that non-Sophos hardware are facing issues with 9.4. For the time being, stick with 9.3x until Sophos fixes the issue. Until a commercial customer faces this issue it won't get fixed fast.
