Anyway to get UTM9 running on a Macintosh as a VM?

I've got a brand new iMac 5k, and have tried UTM9 on both Virtual Box and Parallels to no avail. I can get it installed fine, and it boots all the way up, but I can't connect to it via the webgui. I've tried through the native Safari/Firefox/Chrome, and also a Ubuntu VM in Virtual Box.

I've seen mention that UTM9 is not compatible with Virtual Box, if thats true then is there anyway to get UTM9 running in a VM on a Macintosh?

When you boot up the UTM9 virtual machine does it display a valid IP address? It's possible that you simply haven't configured the virtual network settings correctly.

Heres the setup: VirtualBox with 2 VMs:

1= Ubuntu Linux

2= Sophos Home UTM9

Network Cards in the Sophos VM:

1. Bridged Adapter, en1, Intel Pro/1000

2. Internal Network, intnet, Intel Pro/1000

I have this exact setup but with pfSense instead of Sophos and it works fine, the Linux VM gets an ip/network connection from pfSense. It does not when I try it with Sophos.

Sounds like you just need to get the WebAdmin presenting on the right network adapter. How's the UTM VM getting internet access? Is it coming in over the Bridged Adapter?

Yes the Bridged Adapter. Although I don't know that is actually getting access because I can't log in to it..

I won't have access to my Mac until this weekend to troubleshoot this in-depth but take a look at this Sophos support article and give it a shot. If it does work make sure you adjust the WebAdmin allowed networks so that access is only possible from your internal network and not the internet.
