Sophos UTM Radius client cant connect to Windows 2012 R2 Radius server

Hi,

I have installed Radius server on a Windows server 2012 r2 followed by adding a authentication server in sophos UTM. During the add i enter the shared secret key i set when configuring the Radius server but when i press " test " button it keeps saying the connection timed out.

The services are started on the windows server so im wondering if other people have come across this issue.

Windows Firewall on server should allow TCP port 1812 inbound from UTM LAN IP address.

Hi Vilic,

It was a good suggestion, i hadn't checked the firewall yet, however even if i turn it off completely i still get the same error.

i found this helpfull link: https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/116144.aspx is seemed i had a configuration error in that area.
