Astaro.org original forums now available in the Sophos UTM 9 group

Hi All,

In case you haven't already seen them, we have published the active forums from the Sophos User Bulletin Board (UBB/Astaro.org) and they are available directly in this current group.  I'd like to thank the UBB moderators for reviewing the migrated threads and providing feedback.  All inactive forums or ones we didn't need any more are in a sub-group called Astaro.org in homage to the Sophos User Bulletin Board.

Thank you all for your patience while we migrated the forums and sorry for the disruption over the past six weeks.  Please have a look at the forums and make use of them.  If you find an issue please feel free to post back and let me know.

  • I agree with Martin, and I already suggested that in another thread.
On my "road" laptop I use 1366x768 resolution where everything looks so LARGE, and requires a lot of scrolling. No problems with another forums, or ex astaro.org.
  • One of the solution that you could implement regarding this problem is introducing themes, or display settings, like in Gmail:

  • twister5800 and vilic,

Noted.  To let you know what's happening: We are in the process of carrying out a usability review of the site.  The whole presentation will be reviewed as part of that.  The resulting design may be from a few tweaks in size and layout to a reskin or anywhere in between.  That review result won't reach me immediately and then we'll have to implement and release the changes - I'll keep you up to date.

Please feel free to screenshot things or list what doesn't work.  I know I've said this before but 'horrible', 'ugly', 'this isn't it', 'too big' isn't exact enough to plan requirements [:S].  I could hand our designers several screenshots like this...

...and they jump into the CSS and change a load of things, but I may be missing the point of 'too big'.  Always like to get (clear) feedback. [:)]

  • Ruckus, let me demonstrate what "too big" means to me in this two screenshot examples:

Sophos Community - I can barely see a single post with those large fonts and lot of wasted space (like too wide margins and top header):

Astaro.org - same screen resolution but smaller font and narrow margins...much more usable space, much less scrolling:

One of community users (I think that was Bob himself) mentioned that he is reading this forum with browser set to 75% zoom out...;)
