Hello, I am planning on building an Astaro security appliance to place in my home network. I'm new to the software, but I've been told it is a bit easier to get set up and running than things like PfSense.
I'm planning to just have the device sit on the network as a gateway, and have a Layer 3 switch do all my routing, vLANs, etc. I know the hardware configuration can assign DHCP, but can the appliance be used as a gateway?
I would like to replace my router essentially and just have this run on top of my network handling incoming and outbound traffic, while the layer 3 switch does most of the work. Is that possible with the Home license version?
I am planning on installing this on a blade server, so processing power, ram usage, etc shouldn't be a problem.
