I'm using Sophos UTM 9 - Home Edition and run into an annoying "feature"
My certificate for WebAdmin which is currently in use is internally signed as this is never going to be accessed externally..
Obviously the portal is extenally facing.. For a while I've been limping along with having to accept Chromes warning about an untrusted certificate
So I finally created one and verified it with StartSSL - byt they (rather un helpfully) strip everything off except what you enter into StartSSL.
So my initial cert had "proxy.internal.lan" and "portal.external.dns"
but start ssl, strip the "proxy.internal.lan"
Now, I have the reverse of my inital problem - an authenticated external cert (great!) but an annoying Chrome prompt when I go into WebAdmin that the SSL certificate doesn't match the URL
Would be much better if these could be split into two certs..
One for WebAdmin
One for the End User Portal
Just a thought [:)]
