LDAP question

Hi,

can we configure both Active Directory and LDAP for the Authentication services?

Our domain has to DCs, can we configure Active directory that point to one of the DCs and LDAP that points to the second DC?

Or  can we configure both Active Directory and LDAP that points to only one of the DCs?

Thanks

  • Is there a reason why you would do that?
If you have AD, why not only use AD auth?

  • Hi scorpionking,

    Thanks for the reply,

As you know Configuring Authentication services for the AD would work with:

Active Directory (Username + password style)

and the LDAP would work with:

    LDAP (UPN + password style)

so it would be nice if we can give both of the possiblety to the end users.
