Sg-310 utm

We use SG-310 UTM as MTA and exchange server 2010 SP3 in our network
An interface aggregation is set up on two internal interfaces on Devices with two different IP addresses and then they route emails to outside.
All emails sent outside use  primary IP address on aggregated interface not the additional address
I’d like to have Load balancing on IP addresses so that both IP addresses be used for sending emails outside
Is that possible?

    Hi, Mahi22, and welcome to the User BB!

    I don't understand the advantage you're seeking, so I guess I don't "see" what you've described.

    Why use Link Aggregation for the External interface? Do you have a 10GB connection?  If so, why not add a dual-port 10GB adapter to the 310?

    If you want to load balance traffic out the two interfaces, you will need to dis-aggregate them and use Uplink Balancing with multipath rules.

    You are right,

    But using two interfaces and Uplink Balancing , when one of the interfaces fails, the IP Address set on it also will not be usable (Unlike Link Aggregation, when even one interface goes down, both IP’s will be reachable via the one remaining interface)

    If you're only concerned about receiving mail, then both approaches will perform in what will appear to be the same manner.

    If you want to use two IPs and load balance outbound email, you must use two interfaces.  I don't understand the downside if one interface fails as compared to Link Aggregation, but I also don't understand the need for two IPs if the goal is load balancing.

    If you use Link Aggregation and all email comes from the same internal server, then you can use only a single IP address.  That said, I believe that the balancing should occur using a single IP.

    Is your ISP connection 1GB, 10GB OR ???
