Control Wireless Access

Hello,

I have Sophos UTM 9 installed on a virtual machine (VirtualBox) hosted in physical domain controller with this network configuration:

MODEM:
   • WAN-NAT : 192.168.10.1  (connected to the DC)
DC:
   • NIC-LAN : 192.168.1.180  (connected to the switch)
   • NIC-WAN : TCP/IP Disabled  (connected to the modem)
UTM:
   • VNIC-LAN : Bridged with NIC-LAN : 192.168.1.1 (to the switch)
   • VNIC-WAN : Bridged with NIC-WAN : 192.168.10.2 (to the modem)

I'm planning to attach a d-link access point device to the switch to give internet and local wireless access for domain users, and only internet access for guests with captive portal, what is the appropriate configuration for this case?

Ops! it's a Cisco Linksys WRT54G, I don't know if it supports wireless VLAN, but it supports DD-WRT.

Any suggestions?

What you want to achieve, if using a single AP, would require VLANs on the UTM and on the AP.

DD-WRT probably supports VLANs on the AP, but you'll need to confirm, and figure out how to do set it up.

All I would to achieve is how to configure UTM9? In worst cases I will attach two APs one for local users and the other for guests.
