dns redudancy

so i have two windows 2012 r2 servers that act as my AD and DNS servers

10.10.10.63
10.10.10.64

I point all the computers in my office to them via DHCP. However in the event of an power outage or some other incident if both servers are out the entire office loses effective use of the web.


is there a way to have the router fail over to something like googles 8.8.8.8 or even have more than just two dns servers in dhcp?

I have two "DNS Forwarders" in the router (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) but im not sure how to stcuture it that even if the dns servers are off line that it will still resovle using the external dns

    Why would you think that you can still reach your router(s) once both DNS-servers are down?
    I think that if both are down and you still have power to your router(s)/firewalls that you have something configured pretty badly [;)]
