Can't get Webadmin / CA certificate to work

I've tried several times to import the webadmin CA certificate to IE11 and Chrome but I can't get the annoying https warnings to go away. I'm not clear what to do. Anyone get this working?

    Does the hostname in the certificate match the hostname you have typed in in the browser?
    I was wondering about this. I noticed there are two places to set the hostname: system settings, hostname and also webadmin settings, https certifcate, hostname. I've set the hostname to simply be utm9 in both places. When I run the hostname command on the command line, that's what it says. When I access webadmin from a browser, I have to enter the ip address. If I enter the hostname, utm9, it doesn't resolve. Maybe this is the problem.
