I need to hire someone to configure my new sg105

Can anyone advise me on configuring my sg105? I have an Astaro 110, that is currently running, and getting it configured and running was a nightmare. I was told that I could use the configuration auto backup from the 110, to configure the 105. I would be happy to pay someone to configure the 105 remotely.

Hello,

just do a backup of your current system, copy it onto an USB-thumbdrive, put it in one of the USB-Ports on the new device and boot up... recover in the new sg one. Should work "out of the box", just switch your hardware.

Ross, a unit that small doesn't have a complex enough configuration to warrant a full day of consulting work; while I won't quote prices on a forum, our firm (and most likely many others) would charge a reasonable price for hard-won expertise.

Meant to add -- Scott's point about picking a good reseller who knows the product is a valid one -- the big discount resellers tend not to support the products they sell very well, if at all.

I agree it's not difficult or complex, that's good if you're company would be reasonable.

I just find a lot of professional services are charged on a per day basis even if it doesn't take the whole day.
