No web-surfing joy

Hi all,

I'm brand new to Sophos and need some help.

I'm using UTM 9 software on my own hardware.  I've successfully created a bridge.  Here's the issue.  I can Google subjects ("cats" for instance) and get results but when I click on the link, I get the Sophos branded message that the "host is not found."  My Google Drive syncs fine.  I don't see anything in the firewall rules that would prevent traffic.  

My settings are:  Internal->Web Surfing -> Any -> Allow.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Sounds like a DNS issue of some sort. Besides google search results, can you access any sites at all? Need to make sure you have DNS port open for outgoing connections (53, I believe).

    Hi, Revcall, and welcome to the User BB!

    First, try #1 in Rulz.  Also try the Web Filtering log.  Next, check DNS Best Practice.  Any luck?

    Sorry for the delay.  We had an ice storm and were without power for several days.  I appreciate the feedback.  

    I will check the DNS port and see if that makes a difference.  The only websites I can get are https so I was thinking that all http traffic was being blocked.  I'll have to wait until after hours so as not to disrupt service.  (I'm trying this in a small school setting).
