Since Astaro was taken over by Sophos we are noticing a constant increase of bugs and glitches in our firewall.
I have the impression that the company is too focused on the development of new features to sell more appliance units instead of providing error-free operation.
Quality assurance seems to got a smaller weight since the founders of Astaro has left the building.
Like Microsoft with the recent Patchday desasters, Sophos had their own desasters with their own Up2date packages.
Someone in the forum recently called the patch 9.210 "Patch of Doom" what does sound funny in the first place but like others we had one day in our company on which we could not receive emails from some customers.
In a business environment might be a bug here and there acceptable when it doesn`t affect the daily operations so comprehensive but it wasn`t the first time i had to call Sophos to correct failures they create themselves with not properly tested updates.

In 2014, with two years distance i have to say that there is a significant difference.
Some of them are surely welcome but at the same time the reliability of the product is noticable decreased and that is a bad habit for a security product in my opinion.
Am i the only one noticing these things? Do i expect to much from the Unified Threat Management Device that i use?
