Internet Band Width goes down

My client having internet speed 100 Mbps once we enable the web filter its goes down 4 to 5 Mbps. then we disable the web filter internet speed come again 100 Mbps. Sophos support team also trying to fix this for 8 months but no use.

If you have face like this issue please let me know....

For 8th months payment pending from customer.... my management is firing me.....[:S]

    V 9.209/transparent web proxy with SSO/IPS enabled-UTM 525 with 1000 usres

    Issue: Client having the 100 Mbps Leased line but users getting the low speed internet.
    Speed test shows only 4 to 5 Mbps.
     used the command on putty iftop -e eth0
    its also show like this

    Some senior peoples from sophos checked the configuration and said looks fine.

    Once we disable the web filter internet speed comes near 100 Mbps (speed test)

    Speed tests give false results when using web proxies---again, any online speed test you run with http proxy enabled WILL give false results.  The real test is to see what the UTM shows as aggregate bandwidth being used while the system is under load.  That 525 should be able to handle that speed and number of users.

    Another thought... check for speed/duplex mismatch on the Ethernet ports, this can cause speed issues --- and it's not easy to see from webadmin.  You'd need to log into the shell as root and run ifconfig to look for CRC errors, etc.
