Bug? DHCP Leases

I setup the DHCP service on the UTM with the whole /24 for the IP range 1-254
I create static mappings and enable the service. I have a client with .1 already assigned and a static entry for it in the UTM. The UTM will hand out that .1 address to the first client that connects even though the static mapping is in place. Does adding the static mapping not configure a reservation and keep the DHCP service from issuing the IP of the static mapping to only that host?

Unless something has changed in 9.2/9.3...

No, the UTM dhcp server (ISC dhcpd) does not behave like a Microsoft Windows DHCP server with regard to UTM static-mappings (ISC dhcpd fixed-address, Microsoft reservations).

Hi, nothing's changed; static mappings still need to be outside the DHCP pool.

Also, the UTM must have an IP so the pool cannot be .1-.254 (on a /24).
