Can anyone suggest up to date rig that could handle 10Mbit and more with double AV running?
Sure, i could go for i3 straight away, but i have an impression it would be a overkill for home use.
How about celeron J1900? Anyone has that kind of a system with 100Mbit+ internet?

I was looking also Jacek, something for a home user that would allow most if not all features to run without spending $500. Looks like we'll have to just use a refurbished pc with a decent quad speed cpu on it with 8gb. I know for sure you need 8gb, messed with over and over and over. If you use less than 8gb the utm swaps to disk way too much and slows everything down, you'll have to then change the updates to every 2 hours. geez. Just make sure they're real intel cards, not realtek or other and preferably a quad something intel cpu with passmark greater than 3000. Those 2000 and less passmark cpus on most fanless things just don't run worth a crap, but i'm very impatient. haha Good luck sir.
For just a 10Mbit connection with a few users, the Qotom mini PC with the Intel J1900 CPU will do just fine. Go with the one with 8Gb RAM and a 64Gb or 128Gb SSD. This one has the Intel ethernet chip.

On my UTM with intrusion protection, antivirus.antispyware, and Remote access enabled it uses about 44% of the RAM.
I do not own a Qotom myself but the Intel I211-AT 10/100/1000 gigabit controller in it is widely used and the CPU is only 10 watts TDP.
Keep in mind if you plan to have multiple VPN connections concurrently you should look into a CPU that supports the AES-NI instruction set, like an Intel i3 or i5.
