Random shutdown and restarts

I have installed the latest UTM SW, 209 on a custom built Micro-ITX i5 based PC.  The system, with base configuration and minimal additional config, seems to reboot and shutdown randomly.  Reviews of the logs shows no errors or abnormalities other than the system was restarted.

How do I enable further debugging that will assist in determining the root cause?

How do I rule out hardware on a brand new custom built system?

    Most likely hardware... run memtest86 on the system as a first step.  Could be power supply, etc.

    Memtest86 showed no errors.  Hardware makes sense as a possible failure point.  What other diagnostics are there?  How do I enable debugging on the kernel or something to catch the failure?

    Had a similar issue which drove me nuts trying to troubleshoot. After swapping out some hardware including memory, hard disk, and power supplies, I did some additional research and discovered by particular MB had inferior capacitors which under the right circumstances could overheat and swell. My point for the message is make sure you explore all options including searching for issues with hardware similar to yours.
