Currently I am in the process of migrating from LDAP to Active Directory with having both of them enabled I have noticed something ODD.
I have LDAP users Set to ALLOW under relaying so my users can send mail through my mail server when not on the network.
Now for the ODD PART:
When looking at the logs I see that when a user attempts to use my mail server to send e-mail that it tries the authentication with both the defined LDAP and AD server when it should only be trying the LDAP server.
My future plans is to keep the LDAP server in place for just authentication of mail relaying and to maintain AD for internal services while on the network (i.e mapping shares, proxy settings, etc.)
