Sophos IPv6 Not working

Hello,

My ISP runs dual stack IP4/IP6 using DHCP-PD, the prefix that should be assigned is a /56. I enabled IPv6 in the Interfaces & Routing menu but i am not getting an address.

When i run rdisc6 eth0 in the command prompt i get the following:


loginuser@sophos:/home/login > sudo rdisc6 -m eth0
Soliciting ff02::2 (ff02::2) on eth0...
Timed out.
Timed out.
Timed out.
No response.


I am new to Sophos so i could be doing something wrong. Any help would be awesome.

    Hi,
    I would suspect that you ISP hasn't enabled IPv6 on your account?

    Please check the log files IPv6 and what ever connection type you are using to see if details are being provided. I use PPPoE and can see the request on the service that has IPv6 enabled succeed and on the service that doesn't have IPv6 enabled (ISP doesn't) I can the requests fail.

    My ISP has all IP6 enabled by default, i can connect another linux box or a windows box into the internet connection and they get IP6 addresses right away.
