Is Sophos UTM compatible with any wifi chipsets?

Hello,
 
I just discovered Sophos, but i was wondering if i was able to install it in a x86 unit that had a wireless chipset in it and be able to use it as an access point? As far as i can tell all the wireless features seem to only work with Sophos APs, is this true?
 
Also, what flavor of linux is Sophos based on?
 
specifically, i like to be able to use this card, or a similar one:
WLE900V-20 Wireless network adapters

    I used to know, but that info has long since be relegated to the dust bin of my mind.

    UTM is hardened, stripped down, and customized, so it has a minimal set of drivers and libraries.  It is possible to use some self-contained small shell apps, but anything beyond that is extremely difficult due to lib dependency issues that really cannot be resolved without taking a huge chance of breaking existing functionality.  UTM is really designed NOT to allow the kind of customization that you're looking for.
