nsslabs testings on sophos

Hi all,

Did anybody ever discussed these test results here??

I know its not crazy new stuff and i couldn't get my hands on the FULL sophos product report from the same lab without putting some cash on the table, which makes me suddenly suspicious...

Though i found it strange that in my researches i didn't came across any Sophos explanations about this, i would have expected at least something like.. Our settings by default allows this for this and that reasons, though, if these behaviors are not what you want/need we'll advise you to click here and enable this and that functions in our software. Which will provide you with the desired results.

Or an honest; we acknowledged the issue tested by nsslabs and reported in their test results and we therefore provided our bellowed customers with a patch for our former released software. Also, every  further Sophos UTM releases are exempt of these findings threats.

I might be out on clues on that one though.

    Sorry, I think that report is worthless.  The single setting involved with the Sophos not being 100% is the 'Strict TCP handling' setting.  I bet there's a similar issue for all of the other non-100% evaluations.  It's what happens when you get a group of young, smart guys that have more answers than questions - they can do great things, but you need to be careful in how you manage them.
