backup restore

HEllo all,

I'm facing a little problem with my astaro security gateway 8 that i stopped using for 1 year. now i need to turn it on again as my new home setup is ok. 

problem : 1 interface (internal) looks down.... can't access it ... and looks like my admin password for command line is not working also .... and i can't access grubb menu by pressing ESC !!!! a total mess !!! 

so i have a Good backup file here with me and i would like to use it but as it is a security gateway 8 can i use it on a fresh UTM 9 install ?

    Hey Balfson,

     i'm starting to be crazy .. in the topic where i was speaking abou tmy interface issues ... and backup /restore. i said i found a backup UTM device where all my setup was working and also where i was saying that everything was ok ... i went back at home with it and BOUM same problem when i turn the device on: 

     when i login as root in command line i can se:

     ETH0 no address (it is my external interface in DHCP not conencted yet)
     ETH1 with ip 192.168.5.254 (internal interface)

     when i connect ETH0 to a switch (ETH1 disconnected) if i do ifstat i can see the interface acting 

     when i connect ETH1 to a switch (ETH0 unplugged) nothing happen and switch lights remain BLACK.

     and 2 hours ago in the office it was working .... 

     is there a way for me to do something in command line ? is it posible to recover some configuration from a fil in the disk ? or do i have to restart everything from scratch ?
