can someone explain to me what Version 9.111-11 does and why i cant see 9.2

    9.2 is "rolling" out on Sophos' schedule.  If you are eager to have it you can download the packages and upload them to your device manually.   

    Read up on 9.2 related issues, open and recently closed, before making the jump.  If you have the resources then test it out on a VM or spare hardware first.

    I am aware of the release notes i just don't know what erroneous in this context means.

    At least in part, 9.111-7 systems have been presented with u2d-sys-9.201023-201025.tgz.gpg  (9.201-23 to 9.201-25) as a valid update with none of the required intermediate updates.

    FYI - I reverted back to 9.1 already. 9.2 is too buggy for me. It doesn't like Intel NICs and it stopped reporting resource usage.

    9.2 definitely does not work with the two different models in my box. No problem with 9.1.

    im on a sophos utm so i am less worried about bugs with hardware

    We had this issue and applied the 9.111-11 patch, but we still see the same update in pipeline:

    Current firmware version: 9.111-11
    Latest available firmware version: 9.201-25
    ------------
    Available Firmware Up2Dates:
    Version 9.201-25

    Run as root on the UTM see what the up2date auth servers are returning as available sys updates:

    audld.plx --dryrun --types=sys --level d


    As the local UTM's behavior is based on a variable response from Sophos' up2date server it can be difficult to confidently compare "apples to apples" or troubleshoot.

    Customers shouldn't be hesitant to contact support in these situations.

    Review any output from audld.plx before pasting it here - it may contain information that should not be public.

    I haven't made the move to 9.111-11.  Despite it being a small and straightforward update I've become increasingly reluctant to move to "the latest" without clear justification - I've "backported" my 9.2x concerns to 9.1x.

    A direct update from 9.111-11 to 9.201-23 isn´t possible through the automatic prefetch because there is no updatepackage 'u2d-sys-9.111011-201023.tgz.gpg'.
