i am completely new to this. i am installing this to replace a FTMG 2010 setup.
to test, i have installed this as a VM under Esxi5.
now, the install runs successfully, but after that, i start to get problems.
i can't access the webadmin interface using the standard https:\(ipaddress):4444
i can't even ping the LAN interface configured on the device.
i read a few posts, and followed the instructions: made sure the right interface was connected, and left the gateway parameter blank. i've also reinstalled about 3 times.
here's the oddity. since i have console access through the vSphere client, when i do the root login on the console, i get in (after picking a new password) and ping any host on the network without any issues.
i was looking at this thread, and the solution that was provided didn't work for me, because no backup exists (as well as some of what they were discussing being over my head)

but the following commands give me peculiarities:
cc get web_admin_allowed_networks
0
cc get webadmin allowed_users
0
now, i'm not sure if this means anything or not, but maybe you can make more sense out of it. although, i don't know if this stuff gets populated after the first webadmin configuration session.
so, that's pretty much the problem - no ability to ping the internal interface, let alone access the webadmin.
