Rough around the edges, UTM patches/updates lately?

I am uncertain if this is a new thing or "normal" as I have not followed Astaro/Sophos updates/upgrades closely for long and my memory is certainly less than perfect.

The updates and upgrades as of late, particularly 9.2x and perhaps recently for 9.1x, have seemed rather rough around the edges with a few pulled back.  The nebulous nature and duration of the beta-softrelease/GA transition factor also into my thinking.

I don't know if the problems are corner cases or particularly unique environments/circumstances.

What do you think?

(I intend to put together some references when I get a bit more time.)

    Major releases have always come out with some known bugs.  This is due to bugs that crop up late in the beta cycle or ones that will take so much time to fix that they would push back the GA release significantly.  These sorts of bugs are assigned to upcoming up2dates based on severity (estimated customer impact) and development resources available.

    Several different departments get input for releases.  Product management, development, and marketing are the big three.
