My MacBook Pro was running slowly and would (half the time) freeze on boot. It would freeze prior to the desktop appearing, prior to the taskbar appearing, prior to the dock appearing or all three. I disabled "Live Protection" and now it is very responsive - no problems. Am I still fully protected without "Live Protection" enabled?
