track hosts by mac only

Is there a way to assign a host name to a mac address with out giving it a static ip?

I would like some more detailed reports about who is using bandwidth but I have lots of users come in and out of the office and I would rather not have a static ip assigned to each one

also some users have two or 3 mac's (wifi ane wired)

Is that possible?

Possible, not practical. Do you have a way to authenticate users in Web Protection? Maybe we should move this discussion to that forum.

The biggest usage likely is people browsing websites. In 'Logging & Reporting >> Web Protection', in the upper-right-hand of the page, choose 'Available Reports: Users'. At present, it will just show IP addresses. After you configure for AD-SSO (Configuring HTTP/HTTPS proxy access with AD SSO with a Sophos UTM), you will have user names.
