SSD in ASG 425

Hi,

can I put into my ASG/UTM 425 a SSD instead of the HDD or I lose the warranty or support? I hope so a significant performance increase when logging and caching.

  • Modifying the Appliance voids your warranty and support; check your end user licensing agreement, it may also affect your ability to use the features of the system as well.  If you are having performance issues, I recommend that you start a case with Sophos Support so they can look into it.

  • You also probably need to clone the disk first because installing from scratch might just be impossible. iirc it's not possible to install SSI image on empty disk and so you could end up without the possibility to use your current license.
