Additional address not coming up on interface

Hi

I am trying to configure an additional address on my Astaro 8. Everythings seems normal, it says the interface is up but I cannot ping it.

When I login to the console and run:

ip addr show

I can clearly see that the new ip address in not up and running.

It does not matter if I try to add an address on External, DMZ, DMZ2 etc. 

No additional addresses will appear, it somehow stopped working.

I cannot believe what is wrong here, this has been working for ages and now suddenly it doesn't.


Any clues what could be causing this?


We are a bit behind on the version mainly because our cluster (we have two Astaros) always gets into a splt brain situation when we update the software, the MTU on the heartbeat interface gets messed up and our customers are affected every single time we do this. Very annoying.

    Ok, short update.

    Suddenly after a long time the address came up. Bit I cannot ping it, I have several other addresses on the same NIC that I can ping, but not this one.

    I am trying to ping from the FW console.

    The address is used for NAT.
