Difference between Cyberoam and Sophos UTM

Hi all

Any body know the major futures between Cyberoam and Sophos UTM.

  • basically it is a reverse proxy for scada systems.  Frankly with how vulnerable these systems are...i wouldn't want to expose one of them in any way at all.  The good guys have to be perfect every time..the bad ones only once.  if you need remote access ssl vpn or ipsec vpn is the way to go..which is offered.

    I'm with you on that one William. Everything I read on SCADA and Process Control Networks (PCN) makes me cringe, not because I don't understand the advantage of the technology, but the the almost naivety with which the gear is implemented.

    Reminds me of IP networking in the early days of the internet before security became a tangible concern. Remember hanging Win XP off a cable/dsl modem directly, before XP had a firewall?[8-)]
  • Sorry to wake an old thread, I believe since the merger of Cyberoam and Sophos there is very little difference between the XG NGFW and the comparable Cyberoam products, as a matter of fact they may both run the same SFOS OS which I believe will be on 17 very soon. Can anybody confirm or deny this or provide an update as to the current differences between the two?
