Create a firewall rule? There should be a 'ping' service definition. Use 'Internal (Network)' as source and 'Internal (Address)' as destination.

What about Network Protection > Firewall > ICMP > Ping Settings > Gateway is Ping visible?

I would think this is the setting you are looking for.

Hi Mark,

That would work, but would also allow pings on the EXT/WAN interface, which is not what was asked for.

Did you ever find a solution to allow users to ping the gateway internally, but not the gateway externally..?

I would say:
disable all options on the ICMP-tab,
create 2 firewall rules:
deny icmp from any to external(interface address)
allow icmp from internal(networks) to internal(interface address)

I don't have access to test this right now
