Latency Injector, or WAN Simulator

Hello. Does anyone know if Sophos UTM is able to inject simulated latency? Either out of the box, or with an add-on package? I'd like to use it to simulate a slow WAN connection in a lab.

  • Thanks, Barry. Didn't event think about iptables directly. From what I gather you can't do latency simulation with iptables, but you can with iproute2. I believe UTM 9.1 (maybe earlier versions as well?) contains iproute2 out of the box.

If anyone else is interested in setting this up for a lab, here is some detail on the 'tc' command. Haven't tried it yet, but looks pretty powerful.
