I have been having a problem with my UTM uplink (to the Internet) interface dropping out and coming back online. This happens several times a day and my VPN users are going nuts as it drops their connections. The drop-outs are usually for only a few seconds.
I have changed the interface to another physical interface to eliminate the possibility of it being a hardware failure. I have also tried changing the interface connection from "auto" to hard-coded speeds and duplex settings. Nothing is helping the problem.
I can't find anything in the log files all I get are emails like this:
Your internet uplink External (WAN) is down!
Your internet uplink External (WAN) is up again!
There are now 1 uplink interfaces up and 0 uplink interfaces down.
