VM machine

Hi All, looking for a bit of advice, I'm running home version on an old computer.
I'd like to buy a new machine running some form of VM ware, so the firewall and current computer can co-exist on the same machine.

What's the best solution one NIC card or three, I'm assuming 3 and I'm assuming the home version will run just the same on a VM machine

    Hi,
    I believe 1 NIC is possible.

    Make sure to get good NICs (Intel or Broadcom).

    RAM: dedicate 1.5-4GB to the UTM, depending on features used

    What is your internet connection bandwidth, and will you have any DMZs or multiple LANs?
    CPU speed is critical for high-speed connections, if using IPS and/or anti-virus.
