This isn't secret, and it is mostly nonsense.
Some laptops (Dell Latitudes for example) have a SIM slot for remote admin purposes (by the owner), but it can be disabled in the BIOS.

Seriously? Alex Jones? The article is pure nonsense. If there were "secret" 3G radios in new PCs you can be sure someone would have noticed by now -- that is, ones that are enabled without the user's or administrator's request... not to mention not having antennae, etc.
They are blowing out of proportion some of the new management features, etc. that are available in the newer chipsets.
FWIW, a little research reveals the anti-theft features have been around for years.
I'm going to move this to the General forum.
