How let one device by pass authentication on hotspot?

Hi All,

I am currently running a WiFi hotspot but I only have one ethernet connection from the UTM to the Cafe, then from there I am running an Airport Extreme.

We have now installed a POS machine which is plugged in to the back of the Airport extreme. But every time they want to use the POS system they have to put in a voucher code :/

Is there a way I can tell the utm to let a certain mac address to bypass the hotspot authenication?

I really don't want to have to run another ethernet cable just for the POS machine :/

  • You can create a VLAN for your subnet you want vouchers on and create a separate VLAN for the subnet you don't want vouchers on. You can have multiple VLAN's on 1 physical UTM ethernet port, so it doesn't necessarily cost you extra ports.

FWIW..... I have one of my devices with a 10yr voucher... I don't think my setup will survive this long, so it's almost permanent....
