Some one having a bad day in the dev team?

I just searched the known issues in the recent update 9.103 and this is what I found:

ID25987 9.100 Since update to 9.100 the websecurity reporting will not display correctly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description:  It could happen that the Web-Security Reporting doesn't
list all browsed webpages although these information is
stored in the database, which is bullshit, as the
information is _not_ in the database, but whatever.

Workaround:   Will be fixed in 9.103.
Fixed in:

Looks like even the devs are having a hard time with these problems [:)]

    That's really funny.  Good catch.
  • I'm sure the dev that committed that faux pas will get disciplined by his supervisor but go easy on him, it made my day.[:D][:)][:P]

  • LOL -- reminds me of a ID-10-T error that a colleague (many moons ago, and in a former life) logged on a repair ticket I saw...

  • Ah yes, the joys of comments in a software company. As we like to provide unfettered feedback without some sort of "official tone approval" process, sometimes good old language makes it in there. Sorry if that offended anyone. We'll get it fixed.
  • Didn't offend me... I'm pretty sure you can't work in IT very long without summoning up some truly "colorful" language at some point [:)]

  • LOL. Forwarding that to our dev team.
  • AngeloC, please leave it in there. There is nothing worse than reading through bug and feature lists that have been written by Marketing.

Obviously there is a time and place for everything, but that one little outburst reassures the rest of us that there are real people working at Sophos, and those people have issues just like the ones we face every day. It actually improves confidence in Sophos.

Don't do anything about it. No one has complained, and those that have seen it have had a little laugh. It's good for the soul.
