SOCKS 5 Understanding

Hi Team,

This is my scenario I'm using ASG525 cluster (Ver8.309) as a internal firewall & CheckPoint 4800 cluster as a gateway firewall.

Now I'm using the ASG's SOCKS5 proxy for the skype access now if my PC's IP add is 10.0.32.155 & ASG's external interface IP is 10.10.10.20 , than which IP will SOCKS5 will use to communicate to internet ??(Ideally it should take 10.10.10.20 as per my understanding)

Because I'm finding that the SOCKS5 is using the 10.0.32.155 to communicate and it's been blocked by the Check Point , so if there is any solution that SOCKS 5  use the 10.10.10.20(Which is allowed on the check Point & nattted).

    Are you sure that the host IP and not the ASG's LAN IP is passed?

    If you have no SNAT or masquerading rule for your WAN interface, it's a known problem that any (random) interface IP is used for connections that have their origin inside the ASG (like the socks service)

    Yes its Host IP not the WAN IP of the ASG

    After that I made the three SNAT rules , attached in here.

    For port 80 , 443 & 1080

    1) Source => Host IP & Destination => Any

    2) Source Translation => WAN IP of Astaro & Destination => Any

    And its skype started working fine , but now when i disable the rule its still working perfect.

    In skype still socks proxy is selected , find the attached snap of the same.

    So its seems the perfect solution , may be.

    Now again it stopped working , please let me know if any other suggestion is there
