UTM 110 Restrictions

Hi All!

Quick Question on the Speed Restrictions of the UTM 110 ...

On the documentation, it has WAN Uplink restricted to 4Mbps... which isn't a problem, my WAN uplink just happens to be... 4Mbps!

HOWEVER, I also have a point to point fibre link with the Head Office (the UTM 110 will be installed in 5-7 user branch office), this link has a speed of 10Mbps in both directions. There will of course be no filtering, encryption etc... applied to the link... however will the UTM 110 see this as a 'WAN' link and apply its limit of 4Mbps or will it play fair and see it for what it is and not restrict it?

the 2 sites on 2 different subnets 192.168.2.*** and 192.168.20.***

Hi,

how are the fibre links terminated?
Do you need an "Default" Gateway?

if not you could set up an vLAN on an additional NIC of the UTM110 (using the required IP Range) so the UTM will do only InterVlan Routing - so there is no upload Limit.
