Astaro - End User Performance

Hi,

We have virtual (Inside) and a physical ASG220 Astaro 8 (Outside), WAN speed is 8Mbit/s sync.

With about 10 users on the network, when a user starts an max speed HTTP download, browser experience for the rest of the users drops to a level, pretty much what I would call: unacceptable. Opening up a website takes ages, like 10 times as normal.

My first guess, we have a miss configuration. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm not really familiar with all the Astaro options.

Hello,

maybe your scanning size in webfilter (if active) is to large?
The standard ist 30mb.

Also you can enable QoS (download-autoconfig), maybe this will balance the wan-speed to all users.

Thank you Umpf, size was set to 70. It is now default 30, also, on interfaced both QoS options were set. Bandwidth was set to 100Mbit/s instead of 8Mbit/s. If I don't provide further feedback, the issue is solved [:)]
