I currently have a dual wan setup. My first and main connection is my Cable modem. The 2nd my my backup wan DSL connection. I'm unable to pull up my firmware on the DSL modem through the Astaro for some reason.
The DSL modem has a internal IP of 192.168.1.254 The Astaro router is on 192.168.1.5. I'm also unable to ping the ip of the DSL modem.
The only service I have on is the firewall. Under Network Protection, Firewall, ICMP I have it set to Allow ICMP on gateway/Through Gateway. Also have it set where Gateway is ping visible,Ping from gateway, Gateway forwards pings, and also both Traceroute settings are checked.
Interfaces & Routing, Uplink Balancing green, Under active interfaces Cable modem first DSL 2nd. Nothing in standby interfaces. Auto monitoring checked and nothing under monitoring hosts.
Under network protection, NAT Masquerading I have it setup to allow internal(network) -> uplink interfaces. Cable Modem (address) -> Internal. Any -> Uplink Interfaces. I have also tried to make a rule of DSL (address) -> Internal and Internal (network) -> DSL
Can provide screenshots if any of this is unclear. My computer thats running this box has two Nics that have a dual nic connection on each. Three are in use. One port goes right to the Cable modem, another port goes right to the DSL modem, and the third port in use goes to the lan connection to share it between other PCs on my network.
I figured since they are on the same subnet I wouldn't have to do any static routing or anything but I assume some default rule is not letting the modem pass the traffic from the dsl modem's firmware page to my lan.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
