Requesting votes for OpenVPN Feature

I've been trying to configure utm to talk to an OpenVPN server, but I've hit a wall. The script that is floating around no longer works and I haven't figured out how to fix it.

I put in the fixes described in the third link and also revised the code that generates the header to make it consistent with a .apc file I generated using utm, but utm is still rejecting the .apc file generated by converting the .ovpn for the server I'm trying to connect with.

I've exchanged some emails with sophos / astaro customer support, but all they've said is that this feature not a priority (despite how long people have been asking for it and how simple it would be for them to implement) and to try and get support for it on the forum. I also sent a PM to the product manager, but haven't received any response.

I haven't given up fixing the script, but I'm almost out of ideas. Therefore I'm asking anyone who has votes to spare to vote for this feature. Here is the link: SSL VPN: Convert .ovpn to .apc/.epc for Site-to-Site SSL Tunnels

If sophos will release some documentation on the format of the .apc file, I'll try to fix the script and make it available to anyone who wants it.

So please support this either by voting up the feature or by replying to this post.

Thanks for the votes. (Jeez, I feel like a politician. What's next, kissing babies?) This feature has moved up to #18, based on votes, previously out of the top 20. Of the top items, I suspect this feature would take the least amount of effort to implement.

Any way to get connected to PrivateInternetAccess.com as a client via Astaro UTM would be ideal.

Thanks for your support. Please go to SSL VPN: Convert .ovpn to .apc/.epc for Site-to-Site SSL Tunnels and vote there as well. That's the only vote that counts. This feature has gone up from almost 20th to 10th.

I realize that it's a different direction, but has anyone tried the ovpn file for iPhone/Android in another OpenVPN client?

Hey Bimmer, I added my 3 votes since I like new functionalities in the UTM and probably can use the feature you desire at home. I also read Angelo's revised post but I think he was pretty clear with what you wanted in the last beta... this may happen but don't hold your breath [;)]
