SSO Integration and Web Page Authentication In ASG UTM9

Hi Astaro Team,

I have few questions regarding the Astaro (ASG) UTM V9.

Question #01: How basically SSO work in Astaro? As my understanding when user join domain to any LDAP server then they only authenticate to go online else if some PC that didn't join to AD then it cannot go online. Can someone provide my documentation on this? I already able to configure astaro to join domain with my AD server but i didn't know on how its works.

Questions #02: Is there any features in Astaro that provide ability to authenticate users using web page? Example like Hotspot that require username and password to insert before go online. This username and password can control by IT Administrator or using AD username and password to authenticate.

Hopefully you guys can help me on this. Because we currently have prepare some proposal to our customers regarding this solution.

    Search in the Sophos KnowledgeBase for HTTP Proxy AD-SSO to find an article I wrote about this. 

    It is possible forWindows users to authenticate with the Authentication Agent instead of being logged in to the Domain. You need a different Web Filtering Profile for each different authentication method. 

    Also, I have a whitepaper that several of us here have worked on about managing users that aren't logged in.  If you would like that PM me your email address.
