100% CPU due to RPM

Hey Everyone,

For the last few weeks my CPU has been at an almost constant 100% use.  Upon starting an investigation yesterday I have found the culprit.  For some reason rpm is constantly trying to install this file u2d-avira-7.6303.  I tried to delete it yesterday but it just went and grabbed it again and just kept chewing away on it.  Anyone got any ideas on this one?  Thanks.

    Ok so now its attempting to do the same package but ending in 7.6308.  I wonder if this is related to my other post about my Up2Date traffic being 2+GB a day.

    Ok so now I know that Avira is the other scanning engine.  But I still would like to know what is causing it to ramp up the CPU constantly.  Do they really release pattern updates this much during the day?  Thanks.

    So I was  not able to come to a conclusion on this, so I just reinstalled the UTM in a new VM, restored my backup image, let the HA do its thing and shut down the old primary.  Everything is now as it should be.  Thanks.

    Hi, there is a setting for how often the firewall checks for pattern updates.

    The frequency at which it checks isn't really a concern, it was just concerning me how much it was beating up the CPU with keeping it maxed out at 100% 24/7.  Since I've done the rebuild the CPU is now happy at about 4-20% utilization now.  No more 100%
